Job Description

Sequence has been exclusively retained and is currently seeking an able Account Manager for Commercial and Institutional Landscape sales here in the San Francisco / East Bay Area.

This is an extremely attractive and potentially lucrative opportunity for the right individual with a proven history and experience in the landscape industry. Our client is one of the Bay Area’s oldest and largest Landscape Maintenance and Construction organization, and this role is tasked to specifically manage an existing client portfolio as well as expand and develop new business.

Account Managers in the organization act as primary customer service contracts, responsible for increasing company revenues though sale of new maintenance and enhancement of work with maintain existing relationships. Typically, this includes oversight for a book of business / clients ranging anywhere from $1 to $3 million in revenues.

This is a hands on role requiring understanding of branding, the sales cycle and account management. So we are seeking an individual with proficiency networking, negotiating, influencing, estimating, pricing and closing business. Ideally, this would be with a solid and proven history of successful sales and account management within the landscape, construction, horticulture, agriculture or green industry.

The Account Manager is responsible for managing a profitable client portfolio of multiple key clients, focusing on maximizing revenue growth, client retention, and providing account management to achieve total client satisfaction and ensure that customer/company quality levels are being delivered.

While sales and profit remain a key matrix, the organization has a well-respected position and reputation within the industry for fair pricing, quality and service. This is not a high pressure sales driven role, but rather one that focuses on building a robust and sales pipeline and incorporates in measures of success beyond revenue, such as client retention, referrals, new accounts, and customer satisfaction levels

While there are in office duties, a good deal of efforts for the role will require travel throughout the bay area for client interactions and project oversight / coordination as required.
